I have never participated in Ali Edwards’ One Little Word¬†before now. I’m not taking the official class, but this year I decided to choose a word and focus on it. The word I’ve chosen is breathe.

Now to talk about the layout.

  • I chose the color scheme based on an alphabet I planned to use with the page. I eventually set aside that alphabet as too small, but I kept the color scheme.
  • I like the multimedia work I did on this page, but once I was nearly finished with the layout I decided it needed more of a sense of movement. That’s where the rub-ons came in. I like the swirls and especially appreciate the way they resemble the way it looks when you exhale in cold weather.
  • Have I mentioned how much I love the scribbled circle stamp? Just kidding . . . I know I have. It’s from this retired stamp set. I love how it helps anchor the flair. Even though this set is no longer available, you can get a similar look with other circle stamps.

Here’s a link to the process video for this page.
