What I Get from My Mother

It’s Mother’s Day! And I coincidentally–no really, it was a complete coincidence–scrapbooked a photo of me and my mom.

What I Get from My Mother

This is one of my favorite layouts from recent scrapping.

  • It got me out of my comfort zone. I have a tough time when I scrapbook with kraft or cork. But this particular cork had white on it, so it helped me over my mental block.
  • I got a chance to use the chipboard piece with the pile of books! I’ve been wanting to use it but wanted it to be purposeful, so it worked out great on this layout that talks about how Mom and I are both readers.
  • Lots of aqua, a color I really like. And it’s perfect for this photo.
  • I used another of Laura’s sketches for this page. I seem to be using hers a lot lately.

And of course there is a process video. Hope you enjoy!
