Silly & Lovely

It’s rare when I use black and white photos on my scrapbook photos. But I made these black and white for a reason . . .

Silly & Lovely

Let’s talk about the layout.

  • The first time I printed these photos, they were in color. But the color was really off, and the background was very distracting, so I couldn’t get the color pictures to work for me. Then I tried printing them in black and white, and they looked so much better. I need to keep this in mind when I have other pics that don’t look great in color.
  • I used a fun three-photo sketch for this layout.
  • I created this page for a challenge to use lots of stamps. I have so many stamps and need to remember to use them more often.
  • I first tried using transparencies with the photos, but I ended up preferring the look of the chipboard frames.

This process video almost didn’t happen. I misplaced a memory card with a bunch of the footage . . . but then I found it again. So yay! Here it is.

Please enjoy it and give me your thoughts on how to fix a clogged fineline bottle. See you next time!

Next Time Keep Right

Whenever I take a trip there is usually some kind of misadventure. I consider myself lucky if there is only one. 🙂 I took a trip last month that started with me making the wrong choice when I came to a fork in the road, probably because I didn’t realize I was at a fork. My drive ended up being a bit longer than expected. Oops!

Keep Right

Now, let’s talk about the layout.

  • This layout fits in three of my video series: Scrapping the Spectrum, Memorabilia Medley, and Something Old Something New. The map patterned paper is easily 15 years old or more. I knew it would come in handy eventually. I have a few scraps left, and I’m going to try and use those up soon.
  • Here’s the sketch that inspired me.
  • I created this layout for a challenge in the Victoria Marie Facebook group. Fun times on International Scrapbook Day.

And here is the process video.

Until the next one!

Did Someone Say Nap?

It has been too, too long since I’ve posted on the blog. I’ve been in a bit of a scrapbooking funk but am now getting back into the groove. I’m excited for International Scrapbook Day tomorrow and have ordered new photos to play with. In the meantime, though, here’s a layout I did last weekend.

Did Someone Say Nap

Let’s talk about the layout.

  • I created this page for a challenge on the Victoria Marie Facebook Group. Victoria created a sketch that features three photos. I kept the general design but used one giant photo instead. I love this photo of my poodle, Clayton.
  • I cut out the bottom speech bubble from the title card and used it as a template to cut out a speech bubble from patterned paper. I added “nap” with Thickers and popped up the speech bubble with pop dots.
  • This is a pretty simple layout that came together quite quickly. It’s nice to have one of those every now and then. 🙂

Of course there is a process video for this layout. Hope you enjoy it.

Until next time. 🙂
