Today Smile

The color combination on this layout makes me happy.

Today Smile

I scrapped a photo from December for this page.

  • This is a sketch I’ve been wanting to use for a while, and I finally found the right photo for it.
  • I used gelatos to add color to the wood veneer piece. It’s a great pop of color. I also like the blue frame around the veneer.
  • Speaking of blue, I am loving navy blue these days, so that’s why I used a navy mist along with the gold.

I hope you’ll check out the process video for this layout. Thanks for visiting!

Lunchsolved

Here I am scrapbooking a beloved tradition: getting together with a few friends from work at lunchtime to watch segments of Unsolved Mysteries.

Lunchsolved

I love this tradition and this photo, so I enjoyed creating this layout.

  • I love participating in scrapbooking challenges. This page was for a challenge by Shimelle to scrapbook with a large photo.
  • I decided to dip into my Messy Box supplies. They are piling up—I gotta use some of this stuff! The large letters, chipboard circles, and washi tape are all from past kits.
  • Aside from the photo, the title is my favorite part of this page. I like how the “solved” portion of the title is nestled into “lunch.”

There’s also a process video. Check it out by clicking below.

Poodle & the Pillows

Last Christmas I bought new pillows for my dogs. This purchase resulted in this crazy photo, which of course I had to scrapbook.

Poodle Pillow

Let’s talk about the layout.

  • The title is a play on Princess & the Pea. I like how the black alphabet stickers resemble the writing on the patterned paper on the top right.
  • I used Felicity Jane papers to create this layout.
  • The stamping and confetti creates a diagonal flow.
  • I used rub-ons from my stash to create the “pillows” part of the layout.

Here is the process video for this one. Hope you enjoy it!

Magical Moments

What makes a moment magical? Well, it doesn’t hurt if Chris Evans is part of it.

Magical Moments

It’s true. I have an obsession with casual interest in the actor Chris Evans, so I took a zillion photos of him when he came to comic con. Which means I’m going to have half a zillion scrapbook pages about him. And that is not a problem. 🙂

Moving on to this particular layout . . .

  • I had to redo the journaling on this layout. This is why I need to practice first, because my second try is much better.
  • Lots of washi tape on this page. And since I’m determined to make a dent in the tape I have left.
  • I used lots of goodies from the January Elle’s Studio monthly kit. Plus several dimensional elements.

Also notable is the fact that my niece helped in this layout. You can check that out in the process video for this page. Hope you enjoy it!

Just Today

My crusade to use my Felicity Jane papers continues, this time with a couple of comic con photos.

Just Today

Some details about this page:

  • I made this page for a challenge in the Victoria Marie Facebook group. The challenge was to create a page using photos that were not cut in rectangles or squares. I cut these pics of Julie Benz into circles.
  • This layout was the inspiration for the page design.
  • What does a flamingo have to do with these photos? I don’t know either. But I liked the pop of gold the flamingo flair added to this page, so I used it.
  • It turns out that rub-ons go on more smoothly on plain paper, not paper that’s been prepped with gesso. Go figure. 🙂

I hope you’ll watch the process video to get more deets. Thanks for visiting!

This Is Why

Here’s a page about one of my besties.

This Is Why

Let’s jump right in to the layout.

  • This page predominantly uses Felicity Jane products. Even the bag is from the FJ kit. I am finally starting to make a dent in my supply, which is good because I plan to continue being a subscriber.
  • The design of this layout was inspired by a sketch from this Ready, Sketch, Go class. I love how it turned out. If you like sketches, you should definitely give this class a try.
  • I kind of love the wood elements and coordinating stamp set. They are from Elle’s Studio.

You can check out the process video below. It’s part of my Memorabilia Medley series, where I incorporate memorabilia into the layout. In this case, it’s in the pocket. 🙂
