Bearded Besties

This is one of my favorite photos from this year, and it was fun to scrapbook.

Bearded Besties

Let’s talk about the layout.

  • This is the first page I made at the Victoria Marie Scrapbook Retreat. It uses a variety of products, so it is part of my Something Old, Something New series. The fibers, stickers, and Thickers are all from my stash.
  • I used a layout from a magazine as inspiration for the design.
  • The black “splatters” on the top left of the page are part of the patterned paper. I added mist to the bottom right to coordinate.

There’s also a process video for this layout. Hope you enjoy it!

Hello, My Name Is Cupid

It’s pretty clear who runs my household. Hint: it’s not me.

My Name Is Cupid

The journaling reads:

Here’s how it goes. Cupid whines at me so I will get up and let him outside. Instead of going out, he steals my spot. And my blanket. Little rascal!

Let’s talk about this layout.

  • This is an installment of my Something Old, Something New series, where I use newer products with items from my stash. In this case, the Messy Box products are new. The dog-themed items are things I’ve had a while. It’s nice to finally put them to use.
  • Here is the scrapbook page I used as inspiration for the design.
  • I used lots of Teresa Collins chipboard for this page. It turned out to be a pretty good match for the colors of the paper.

Until next time!

Love This

It’s past time to post another layout. I’m going to be playing catch up for a while, so let’s get this started!

Love This Adam

I have a lot to say about this layout, so let’s jump right in. 🙂

  • Here’s the sketch I used for this page.
  • The guitars on that paper are actually silver, but that doesn’t show up very well on the scan. It’s a really nice paper, though. I got it at Tuesday Morning.
  • This is a layout I created at the Victoria Marie Scrapbook Retreat. I used many of the products I brought and added a few from the table where people put products they no longer wanted. Namely the wood veneer, the white diamonds, and the tags. I’m not sure who brought those things, but thank you!
  • This is my latest installment in the stashbusting YouTube series. We used ribbon and twine this month, and I used some that have been in my stash more than 10 years! Check out the videos from the other scrappers.

I Love Right Now

I’ve tried to scrapbook these photos a few times, but each time I was unhappy with what I came up with. This time I was determined, and I love the resulting page.

I Love Right Now

Let’s talk about the layout.

  • I used this sketch to create the page.
  • I stopped subscribing to the monthly Messy Box kit, but I still have lots of papers and accessories. I make a small dent in them here with the patterned paper at the top, a few pocket page cards, and the hexagons. (Still have lots more!)
  • The blue circles were punched from a pocket page card. I love how they play up the blue in the multicolored card behind the photo.

I have another layout featuring Karl Urban. You can check it out below.

Until next time. 🙂
