Horror Is Better Together

How many photos at the movie theater are too many? Answer: there’s no such thing as too many movie photos!

Another installment in the horror movie chronicles

Let’s talk about the layout.

  • Gimme all the blue! The photo and the patterned paper both have a few different shades of blue, and I wanted to incorporate that on the rest of the layout. So I went in search of blue embellishments.
  • This layout is a great example of tucking small elements into the empty spaces. For example, I added a heart next to the word “better” in the title; I placed the “chill” washi tape under the word “together”; I stamped the date in the space between “better” and “together.” This is a fun technique to fill in small gaps.
  • I used this layout as a starting place for my page.

Get Cozy

I took this picture of my Cue-man and absolutely had to scrapbook it.

Let’s talk about the layout.

  • This layout is part of my Scrap Start series, where I start with a scrap and build my layout from there. I’ve had that striped paper for ages and wanted to use it in a big block on a layout. I was able to do that here.
  • I got to use lots of older stickers and ephemera. So much fun!
  • I love how the tag looks as part of the main cluster. I need to use tags this way more often.

There’s so much more about this layout. You know what to do: check out the process video.

Sparkle

My friend and I went to the Hall of Breakfast, an interactive museum with different rooms with a breakfast theme. I’ve been slowly scrapbooking the photos. This photo was taken in the egg room.

Let’s talk about the layout.

  • This layout is part of my Stash Dive series, where I start with a piece of patterned paper from my stash as my background. Then I use other stash items as I can. And this layout definitely uses lots of stash.
  • The patterned paper background gave me the opportunity to use many chipboard flowers. I chose flowers with a more cartoon-style look.
  • Because I’ve scrapped so many photos about the Hall of Breakfast, I decided to tell a different story about this layout. So the journaling talks about my friendship and the things my friend and I have done together.

Of course, there’s always more. Check out my process video to see and hear all about how this layout came together.

This Is Happiness

Concerts are one of my favorite things, so I decided to scrapbook some photos from a concert I attended a few years ago.

Let’s talk about the layout.

  • I used lots of scraps for this layout. I’ve had the ampersand paper for a long time. I’m pleased to finally use some of it.
  • There were originally some hearts on the grid paper I used as the background. The color scheme of the hearts didn’t work with my other papers, so I ended up covering the hearts instead. It’s all about making your supplies work for you.
  • I like this page but it’s not one of my favorites. They can’t all be a favorite, right? Looking back, I might have liked it better if I’d added some circles to break up some of the lines a little.
